How To Clean White Silicone Watch Band
- #1
I have a white sport band that turned blue. Has this happened to anyone else and is it possible to restore it? I've tried scrubbing with soap and also tired bleach and neither have made a difference.

It's likely dye transfer from blue jeans/denim. It's close to impossible to remove. It can happen when white or light colored leather bags when they rub against jeans or other dark clothing as well.

Unfortunately not an uncommon issue.
Magic eraser will be your friend if you want to keep the white band looking clean.

Magic eraser will destroy the coating on the band, I wouldn't recommend it. Unless, I guess, the band is wrecked to the point it can no longer be worn anyway.

If you say so. I've been using it for almost over a year.

I might have to give this a go. I want to keep the band but it's past the point of looking nice with these blue stains

Maybe it messes up the coating (to probably does), but it's either that or throw it away. There's really no option unless you can convince Apple to replace it for you. That's hit or miss. Once they replaced it for me and gave me a different color. The other time they said that's normal were and tear.

To be honest, I acted a little too late.
I should have raised it with apple when I still had apple care on my S4. I was hoping to use this band on my S7

If you wear the white band often and like to keep it looking fresh, it needs to be replaced every now and then.
I used to wear the white one all of the time until it kept getting dirty and I was constantly cleaning it. I too used magic eraser, but like @SisterBlue22 stated, the coating comes off and it stains even easier. I eventually broke down and picked up a fresh one.
I'm actually a little worried now that doesn't seem to be making white silicone products right now. May have to pick up a new white band just to have ready to go.

Same here, I got a free white band that was pretty badly discolored and with some nail polish remover plus a bit of magic erasing it now looks like new

Same. Don't wear it as much as it gets dirty too easily.

My white has a greenish hue, probably a set of our towels since I wear my watch for the dog walks and afterwards for the shower. I have enough other colors it doesn't matter too much. May buy a replacement for wearing out and keep this for dog walking...

Just buy a new one from eBay or Mercari. White is such a common color, you can easily find a genuine Apple band for cheap.
